Corral Hollow Road Widening Update

Posted: Dec 13, 2017
Location: Tracy, Calif.

On May 31, 2017, the City of Tracy began construction to widen North Corral Hollow Road, between Grant Line and Byron Roads, from four lanes to six lanes. The project also included an upgrade of the existing sanitary sewer pipelines between Fieldview Drive and I-205. The City of Tracy is pleased to announce that the project is in its final phase and is anticipated to be completed by the end of January 2018. Crews are currently striping the roadway and will begin working on the street median landscape shortly afterwards. During this time, crews will close one lane of traffic in each direction to complete the median landscaping; however, two lanes of traffic will remain open on each side.

“The Engineering Division is very excited about this crucial community enhancement project. Once complete, the project will deliver much needed improvements on Corral Hollow Road for Tracy motorists and sewer customers,” said City Engineer, Robert Armijo. “We’d also like to encourage motorists to be patient while driving near the project area, and remember to ‘Slow for the Cone Zone.’”

Completion of the Corral Hollow Road Widening Project will improve traffic circulation and provide additional capacity for the City’s sewer collection system. The project also includes modifying the intersection at Foothill Ranch Drive and Corral Hollow Road, limiting the eastbound traffic from Foothill Ranch Drive to southbound turns onto Corral Hollow Road. These improvements will enhance traffic safety at this intersection.

The Corral Hollow Road Widening project stretches 1 mile, and is one of approximately 25 infrastructure improvement projects currently taking place in Tracy.
