Tracy, Calif. – The City of Tracy is thrilled to announce its award of $66,500 from San Joaquin County to support its new “Discover Tracy” campaign. The campaign was launched in partnership with the Tracy Chamber of Commerce and the Tracy City Center Association (TCCA) to promote the Tracy community as a premier visitor destination in support of the local tourism and hospitality industries that are recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“On behalf of the Tracy City Council, I would like to thank the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors for their support and continued investment in our community,” said Mayor Nancy Young. “Our success in securing this funding is a reflection of the strength of our community partnerships – we appreciate the efforts and continued support of TCCA and the Tracy Chamber of Commerce.”
The City has enlisted the help of Tripepi Smith, a provider of marketing, technology and public affairs consulting services, to implement the new “Discover Tracy” tourism campaign. These efforts will aim bring more visitors to Tracy who may be coming to our community for business and leisure by highlighting our vibrant Downtown, the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, robust dining options, emerging craft beer, wine, and spirit scene, recreational amenities like Legacy Fields and golf courses in the region, along with a variety of hotel options.
This campaign will complement the City’s ongoing efforts to support the recovery of our local economy, which includes the establishment of the COVID-19 Strategies Committee, support of the Downtown “Streatery,” long-term outdoor dining program, the “Support Tracy” campaign, and online business directory - all of which encourage more shopping, dining, playing and staying “Inside the Triangle.”
